SEO Reporting
Tracking and measurement are imperative for effective SEO and online marketing. We believe that "you can't grow what you don't measure," and encourage our clients to think the same way. We track all clicks, form submits and calls. We'd track sales too, but that's up to our clients' back-end systems. Tracking is not only critical for marketing, but it also helps us stay on the same page with our clients, and this keeps us motivated.
We track several key elements, including:
- Keyword Rankings: We run monthly keyword rankings reports using proxy servers to help avoid personalized and local search results. While it's impossible to provide 100% accurate search engine rankings for every viewer situation, our keyword ranking reports provide a baseline metric that’s easy to follow. Tracking changes in keyword rankings has never been easier.
- Site Traffic & Patterns: We look at changes in overall site traffic, including strategically significant indicators, like the number and change in traffic sources and organic keywords, the ratio between brand name and target keyword searches, search volume by day and season, the length of visitor stay, and more. These metrics are important for gauging a campaign's overall performance but also how site visitors interact with a business's website.
- Online Form Submits (Lead Generation): We look at the number of online form submits, taking into account traffic source and keyword. This helps us identify which site and channels drive the most leads and have the highest conversions. Whenever possible, we connect this data to our client's sales so that we can track conversions all the way to the point-of-sale. This becomes even more significant when looking at non-paid vs paid traffic sources.
- Dynamic Call Tracking (Lead Generation): We utilize dynamic call tracking in order to track a caller by their source, whether that's Google, Adwords or any website. Compared to traditional tracking numbers, dynamic call tracking is unique because the website phone number changes according to where the visitor came from. This means we can tell if the caller found the website on Google, a directory, AdWords, or another website. This information is vital in determining which traffic sources generate the most leads, as well as the quality of those leads. Our call tracking system also supports call routing, call trees, caller-ID, length of call, and automatic reporting, among other features.
